How did your journey to be a plastic surgeon change you views on the specialty?

I thought it was a specialty that was just vanity and was not serious medicine, but as I’ve done more and more, I see the impact that it makes on people and it is a surgery of wellness. Yes, other medical specialties do remarkable things and I salute that, but just as much as we want more years in our life, we want more life in our ears.
